The Rapture of the Church, Where did everybody go?

Oops, I Guess I Wasn't Ready!

I realize this web page will be addressing two audiences: those of you who read this page before the rapture and the those of you who read it after the rapture. My focus here will be on those of you who have found this page after the rapture of the Church. For anyone reading this material before the pre-trib rapture, I highly recommend that you ponder the negative consequences of being left behind, and seriously consider committing your life to Jesus, if you have not already.

What's Happened?

Right now, I'm sure there's a tremendous battle going on, with various points of view trying to explain why millions of people just suddenly disappeared into thin air.
Because it's likely that the media will be teaming with possible explanations for the disappearances, I'll pass on trying to guess at what they all might be. What I will do is tell you what caused this supernatural event. The mass disappearance of all these people was the result of the Lord Jesus Christ removing all believers, that were spiritually ready, from off the earth. This catching up of the Christians into heaven is referred to as the rapture of the Church.

(1 Thes 4:16-18)

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words."

(1 Corinthians 15:51-53)

"Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality."

Why Didn't He Take Me?

If you are reading this after the rapture, you need to realize that that you have been left behind.
At this time you may be feeling rejected by God. You might be saying to yourself, "Why didn't he take me?" or "I don't understand; I've led on good life." The problem wasn't that God rejected you; the problem is that you have rejected him. By not committing you life to Jesus and by not following after him, you have left him with no other choice but to leave you behind.

( Matthew 7:21)

"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."

( Matthew 12:50)

" For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother."

(Isaiah 1:18

"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." )

Is There Hope For Me?

Depending on how early you read this article, you may have heard people say, "Because we've missed the rapture, we are lost forever." If you do hear something like this, whoever they are, there assumption is wrong. The only way you can find yourself eternally lost is to receive the mark of the Beast on your right hand or forehead. Barring that, as long as you have breath in your lungs, you can gain salvation by trusting in Jesus Christ as your Savior.

(John 6:37)

"... him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out."

(Matthew 11:28)

"Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

(John 1:12)

"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:"
According to Revelation, there will be a huge number of people saved during the tribulation.

(Revelation 7:9)

"After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;"

(Revelation 7:14)

"And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. "

Where Did Everybody Go?

Will the World Take Notice of the Rapture?
The world will most certainly take notice when the rapture occurs. If the Statue of Liberty suddenly vanished from New York Harbor, ABC, NBC, CBS, and CNN would break from programming to cover this marvel. To have millions of people disappear without a trace, the media storm can not be imagined.
If one car or airplane crashed without a driver or pilot, it would be a major news item. After the rapture, the media will have 1000's of examples to choose from. Think of the vital position that Christians hold in the workplace. Many businesses would be paralyzed by the loss of key personnel; the economy will suffer a devastating blow; and millions of people, who had friends and family members raptured, will be terrified.
The rapture will create a media event that rival any breaking news event from the past. If you turned on your television, you would find 24 hour coverage on every channel, the President having emergency meetings after emergency meeting, and churches filled to overflowing.

Why Do I Need Jesus Christ As My Savior?

To be allowed to pass through heaven's gate you need to have all your sins removed, and the only industrial strength cleanser that I know is strong enough to thoroughly remove sin stains is the blood of Jesus Christ.
To have all your sins cleaned away - your simply ask Jesus Christ, the Son of God, for it. First you admit your sinful state, then you ask Jesus to forgive you of your wrong doings, and then you make him Lord of your life.
By dying on the cross, Jesus has made it possible for each of us to be granted a full pardon from the punishment of eternal damnation. The reason so few people take God up on the offer of being pardoned is that most people don't think they need a Savior or they want to find their own way of salvation.

(Matthew 16:24-26)

"Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?"

(Romans 10:9-10)

"...if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

(John 3:16)

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
